Today, there is increasing legal, regulatory, competitive and societal pressure on workplace leaders – from front-line supervisors and senior managers to CEOs - to create respectful environments for their staff while building high performing teams.
Most leaders understand this. The question that remains, however, is how to practically and effectively address workplace dysfunction in a respectful and legally defensible manner. But that’s not enough. Employees at every level of the organization need the tools and training to work together as a diverse, engaged and productive team.
The solution is found in the MIRROR Method
A straightforward and practical six-step framework that helps leaders attain an accurate reflection of their workplace dynamics, resolve any dysfunction and begin building optimized team dynamics, the MIRROR Method is the foundation of all Marli Rusen’s workshops.

This course builds upon my popular introductory course in leadership “The Fundamentals of Respectful Leadership – an Introduction to the MIRROR Method” and focuses on the legal obligation on employers to respectfully inquire into any and all apparent issues adversely affecting individuals and their teams. This includes possible medical, addiction and mental health issues that may be negatively influencing someone’s behavior, judgment or performance at work. The half day virtual workshop covers key topics such as: who should be making these inquiries; how, where and when they should be made; and how to reasonably accommodate individuals while fulfilling the legal requirement to maintain a safe and respectful workplace for all. It is preferable (but not mandatory) for leaders to have taken ”The Fundamentals of Respectful Leadership” course.

During stressful times, we often react in a manner that increases the stress for those around us, making the situation worse, not better. Organizations need to give individuals tools to better understand and manage their stress in order to improve the stability and health of the overall team.
